Evidence Mia Khalifa attended UTEP
[edit]Khalifa herself was the source of her claim of receiving a BA in History from the University of Texas at El Paso. It appeared in a January 2015 interview with Newsweek magazine (https://www.newsweek.com/meet-mia-khalifa-lebanese-porn-star-who-sparked-national-controversy-297023). All subsequent internet references can be traced back to this single article. As “Mia Khalifa” is a pseudonym, verifying her claim with the university she is an alumna is impossible. Given that she was the claim's source, an independent, verifiable source is required. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rm.augur (talk • contribs) 11:51, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

University of Texas at El Paso → UTEP – WP:COMMONNAME. Theparties (talk) 15:08, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. The full name provides a WP:TITLECON consistent naming convention across all articles on universities and colleges in the United States. Many reliable sources like Forbes and US News and World Report still use the full name. The OP has also made numerous individual RMs on this same issue like this one, which may violate WP:ACROTITLE or use a shorter common name that is rarely used outside a sports/athletic context. Better to stick to the status quo. Zzyzx11 (talk) 15:09, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose as unnecessary, unwise, and unhelpful for readers. ElKevbo (talk) 15:22, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose, per the comments of Zzyzx11. —Eyer (he/him) If you reply, add

I see no reason why we need to make the title more ambiguous, since the acronym means nothing to the vast majority of people who are unfamiliar with the university. – Epicgenius (talk) 16:16, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
